upcoming price increase / new and existing customers move forward
Capstone Green Energy Corp. is raising prices significantly this year due to continued high inflation in the U.S. and, as a result, higher supply costs.
Despite exhausting all possibilities, we at E-quad have to pass on this price increase to our customers.
As of August 1, 2023, turbine prices will therefore will increase by +7.5% across all turbine-models.
Spare parts prices for turbines without maintenance contracts and new maintenance contracts will also be affected by this increase.
Some customers, including three major oil and gas companies, have already responded and ordered new turbines or replacements for existing turbine installations still at current rates.
Several Capstone C65 microturbines, including two offshore turbine units for an unmanned gas production site 300 km off the Dutch coast, will be delivered in the upcoming months. Here, the gas produced on site will be used to generate electricity and heat, reducing or eliminating the need for flaring. In this context, we would also like to thank Mr. Sven Fransen from Seven Turbine Power B.V., with whom we have already been working successfully for many years in Sales & Service in the Netherlands.
Another existing customer from Weilheim/Teck is pressing ahead with the renewal of its existing plant by ordering several C65 microturbines.
The units have already been running there since 2013 in combined power and hot water generation and additionally in the cleaning of VOC-containing exhaust air from the production process, among other things, and are now being successively renewed.
We are of course very pleased about the continued partnership cooperation with the companies in these highly dynamic times of the energy transition.
